Online Shopping Mall App
My Role
I led the visual redesign of the Online Shopping Mall App to improve both its aesthetics and usability. The original design felt outdated and lacked engagement, especially for younger users. I reimagined the interface using a modern purple gradient paired with a clean white background to establish a vibrant yet elegant atmosphere. Additionally, I explored neumorphic design to bring subtle depth and interactivity to the UI, giving the app a more tactile and immersive feel.
Project Overview
This redesign aimed to elevate the shopping experience by introducing a more contemporary and user-centered visual language. The updated layout focuses on clear information hierarchy and intuitive navigation, helping users quickly find what they need. Visual enhancements, such as custom illustrations and soft neumorphic components, bring personality and polish to the interface while reinforcing the brand’s modern identity.
Design Challenge
The original version of the app lacked a modern aesthetic and failed to resonate with the expectations of today’s mobile users. The layout was cluttered, and the information architecture didn’t support intuitive navigation, making the shopping experience inefficient. Additionally, the flat design style provided little visual interest or depth, resulting in a user interface that felt monotonous and uninspired. The absence of clear visual hierarchy further weakened usability and branding impact.
Design Solution
To address these issues, I introduced a fresh color palette using a purple gradient to modernize the look and enhance visual appeal, while white backgrounds preserved clarity and balance. The interface layout was reorganized to prioritize usability, ensuring functional areas were easy to locate and interact with. I also implemented neumorphism to give UI elements a subtle, tactile feel that adds sophistication without overwhelming the user. Finally, I enriched the design with detailed illustrations and interface polish, bringing warmth and character to the overall user experience.
